BLUE CELESTITE GEODE FROM SANKOANY, KETSEPY, MAHAJANGA, MADAGASCAR
Large geode lined with lustrous, translucent to transparent crystals of blue Celestite. This specimen has a few large crystals with prism faces and chisel-shaped termination in a parallel formation.
This specimen is from Sankoany Deposit, Near Ketsepy, Mahajanga Province, Madagascar. It's bright-rich color is unlike the blueish-grey color which is common from this region. All the fully terminated crystals have highly reflective, glassy lustrous faces.
